Here are a few funny short stories that I have heard or been part of.

Kite flying event in a company
Kite flying events are held every year in Delhi, India on Independence Day, the 15th of August. During an event in a company, there was a discussion between two guys. The first person said to the second person “You were good in that kite flying event”. The second person then said, “You know who is a good kite flyer, it is a person who flies against the wind”.
Cricket dugout
Cricket is a popular sport in India. During a cricket match, the players who are not on the field, sit in the dugout.
So, there was a cricket match. The players in the dugout were having some random discussion. One of the young and enthusiastic players said to senior players, the following.
You should give me a chance to bat atop. I will score many runs, will hit huge sixes and classical fours, opponents team bowlers will be afraid of me and our team. I will win the match, will score a century, will be the man of the match, and will do all of these repeatedly in the coming matches including the final.
I will win the competition for the team, will win all of the matches, will win all the man of the matches, will be player of the series. Our team reputation will increase, and people from far away will know our team and me.
To all the above, one of the senior players replied.
Then you will wake up and realize that all this was part of your dream.
ATM line during demonetization
During the demonetization phase in India, there were huge lines at the ATMs. At one of the lines, one person tried to break into it, by indulging the person nearest to ATM into a conversation. He was asking him random questions like “How are the notes?”.
One of the tired persons at the back of the line realized that he was making his way into the ATM. The tired person said, “Tell our bro, how are the notes, are they new or old, are they original or duplicate, are they made of plastic or paper, are they Rs.100 note or Rs.500 note. Tell our bro, how are the notes?”.
Going out for lunch
Shatabdi Express is one of the fastest trains in India, faster than Delhi Metro. There was an occasion when one of the teams of a company went out for lunch via the metro. After lunch, they were heading back to the company.
One person said “We should get back to the company via metro, it is faster than can cab and bus”, then one of the other persons said “We should get back via electric rickshaw. Electric rickshaw is faster than the Shatabdi Express.”
